ABOUT me

I am Steven Tillyer, a passionate photographer currently residing in Adelaide, South Australia, with my roots in London, UK. My photography journey began in 2010 when I received my first camera. Initially, I focused on capturing live events in challenging low-light conditions. Over time, I’ve been fortunate to expand my repertoire to include motorsport photography, particularly in the realms of Formula 1 and British Touring Car racing. This genre continues to captivate my interest to this day.

In 2014, I relocated to Australia, and my fascination with photographing animals in their natural habitats and championing conservation causes deepened. This shift has been both a challenge and a wellspring of inspiration, pushing me to explore new creative horizons. I take immense pride in presenting a unique perspective through my art.

My core interests revolve around bushfire recovery and the documentation of threatened and endangered species, among other conservation pursuits. I am deeply committed to using my photography to shed light on these critical issues.

I’m a firm believer in the power of physical prints to complete the artistic process. It adds a tangible and personal touch to my work, allowing viewers to engage with it on a different level.

One of my greatest joys is inspiring and educating others about wildlife and the importance of environmental preservation. Drawing from my diverse experiences as a photographer in various settings, I aim to share my knowledge and encourage others to do the same.

If you’d like to explore my latest work, you can find most of it on this page or on my Instagram.

My overarching goal as a photographer is to explore, create art that ignites my soul, and, above all, relish the entire creative process.
